About Tutti Ensemble
The Tutti Ensemble is a recognised leader in community cultural development and disability culture in South Australia. Tutti offers opportunities to both disabled and non-disabled people of all ages to become involved in a range of concerts and music-theatre events through its socially inclusive choral program.
In addition Tutti offers talented school leavers and emerging artists with a disability full-time professional training across a broad range of artistic disciplines.
Entry Points
The Tutti Choir – a community choir employing integrated methods of choral training (weekly)
Club Tutti – a singing group for up to 30 participants (weekly)
Tutti Arts – a five day per week Day Options program in the Performing and Visual Arts, including digital design and music. This program enables young adult artists with a disability to expand their skills as singers, musicians, actors, writers, painters and sculptors.
Tutti Kids – an after school Music/ Drama program for primary school age children with a disability (weekly)
Country Choirs – Tutti provides ongoing support, mentorship and combined performance opportunities to several choral groups in South Australia. These include: The Clare Big Country Choir, The White House Choir in Nuriootpa and the Gathering Wave Choir in Mount Barker.
Tutti’s overarching goals are:
- To provide disabled artists with skills which facilitate artistic growth and professionalism in the performing and visual arts.
- To create opportunities for disabled artists to earn income from their work.
- To challenge the arts and wider community to recognize and include the unique talents and vision of people who have long been marginalized.
