Tutti Solo Artists
Aimee Crathern: Aimee has sung with Tutti since the beginning of 2004 and is a founding member of Tutti Arts. She performed a lead role in Circles (2004) the role of Isabella in Between the Worlds (2005), in Mouth Music (2005) and the role of The Daughter in Northern Lights Southern Cross (2007).
Alistair Brasted: Alistair joined Tutti in 2003 and took a leading role in the Singing of Angels. Since then he has sung lead roles in Circles (2004) the role of Oliver in Between the Worlds (2005) and as a soloist in Northern Lights, Southern Cross (2007). Alistair also sings regularly with the State Opera of South Australia Chorus. Recent productions include Verdi’s La Traviata and Wagner’s Ring Cycle.
Annika Hooper: Annika is both a singer and a pianist. She grew up in Orroroo and has sung with John O’Dea on many occasions, her favourite being the 2005 Variety Club Bash. She is a founding member of Tutti Arts, performing the role of Marie Silverfingers in Between the Worlds (2005), and as a solo singer in Mouth Music (2006). This year she performed as one of the Crows in Northern Lights, Southern Cross.
Emma Taylor: Emma joined Tutti this year and like Annika, is a singer and a pianist. In March this year she performed as one of the Crows in Northern Lights, Southern Cross. THe Tutti 10th Birthday concert marked her debut as the Owl, singing with Jennifer Kneale and the Tutti Choir in the Owl and Nightingale Tango.
Jason Crowhurst: Jason is a mine of information about singers and musicians stretching back to the 60s. He has played leading roles as a Rapper in Circles, a Blind Prophet in Between the Worlds, a Beattbox Boy in Mouth Music and a Crow in Northern Lights, Southern Cross. Jason believes his version of Suspicious Minds is second only to Elvis’s.
Jayne Hewetson: Jayne has been singing with Tutti since 2000 and with her heart of gold and voice to match, has played a leading role in the establishment of Club Tutti. Jayne’s leading roles include Pearl’s Mother in My Life, My Love, the Workshop Boss in Between the Worlds and Mama Crow in Northern Lights, Southern Cross.
Maria Edwards: A founding member of Tutti, Maria has been a soloist for the Aussie Jingle Bells in every Christmas Concert since we began. She has contributed to all creative development workshops in that time and is very proud to have written many of the lyrics for Black Beauty Rose, for this song is about Maria’s Islander mother.
Joel Hartgen: Joel joined the Tutti Choir in 2000 and has sung in every concert and music-theatre work since. In 2001 he performed in Vancouver and in 2006 visited Minnesota as part of the research for Northern Lights, Southern Cross. Joel has played minor principal roles in Between the Worlds (2005), Mouth Music (2006) and Northern Lights, Southern Cross (2007). His dream is to become a conductor.
